Sound healing is a beautiful modality that helps facilitate experiences of relaxation, meditation, emotional release, inner-child connection, intuition, clarity, physical relief, and improved sleep. Drawing on a variety of instruments, sound sessions can be a wonderful tool for Veterans, First Responders, pregnant women, end of life, goddess circles, parties, and more to foster connection with the mind, body, and spirit. Explore sound sessions for PTSD, anxiety, depression, relaxation, transformation, and more!
Close your eyes, sit back, and relax. During your sound session, maximize your comfort by sitting or lying down, keeping your eyes open or shut, and/or using blankets, pillows, and other comfort items. From there, become immersed in the healing power of sound as I draw on various instruments and techniques that will be used to facilitate connection with your mind, body, and soul: including crystal singing bowls, kindred spirit drums, ocean drum, chimes, gong, a Himalayan bowl, voice, and more. Before we begin, I’ll collaborate with you to set intentions for your 1- hour session.
While everyone’s experience with sound healing is different, participants commonly report experiences such as emotional release, physical sensations, imagery, and recall of memories.

Within the realm of breathwork lies a potent avenue to unlock the hidden potential of your breath, employing a collection of techniques that stir profound transformations. It is my privilege to hold certification in Conscious Connected Breathwork, an influential form of this practice. This technique, practiced while reclining, harnesses a specific self-regulated, circular breathing pattern.
Guiding you through this session, a harmonious fusion of melodies and uplifting messages accompanies your journey, amplifying the dimensions of physical, mental, and emotional experiences. Breathwork, at its core, revolves around a practice that centralizes the breath or incorporates it within meditation, enabling the harmonization of this fundamental bodily rhythm.
Historically, different cultures and religions have harnessed the prowess of breathwork to foster spiritual growth, traverse altered states of consciousness, regulate temperature, and accelerate the healing process (Nestor, 2020).
Tiffany is certified in Conscious Connected Breathwork. This form of breathwork involves lying down and using a specific, self-controlled, open-mouthed, circular breathing technique. In addition, music and inspirational messages are used to both elicit and enhance physical, mental, and emotional experiences. Participants often report intense and meaningful experiences with this modality.

Embracing a multidimensional approach to mental health and well-being, I bring together my roles as a certified sound therapist, breathwork facilitator, and registered clinical and health psychologist. Guided by the belief that the most profound connections are made when we have experiences that transcend our senses, I hold a deep appreciation for Mindfulness-based modalities.
I am passionate about breaking down mental health stigma and barriers. In my mission, I share my own story and conduct independent workshops with veterans and first responders who are also looking to share their first-hand experiences with mental health issues and interventions.
My workshops are a tapestry of possibilities, offering talks, presentations, enlightening speaker panels, soul-soothing sound sessions, revitalizing breathwork experiences, and the harmonious fusion of breath and bliss. These offerings have graced diverse settings, from academic institutions and corporate senior leadership teams to educational assistants, probation and parole officers, Veterans, first responders, inquisitive community members and their families.
Holistic wellness retreats offer an opportunity to connect both with others and yourself. Retreats are held in a serene setting where you can relax and recharge. Optional practices can include sound healing, breathwork, yoga, meditation, and reflection circles. Retreats also include healthy meals, and when combined with Mindful practices, they are a great way to nourish your mind, body, and soul.
In May 2023, I received an academic appointment to Brock University as an Adjunct Professor with the Faculty of Education. I’m excited to collaborate with some of my esteemed colleagues on upcoming research projects.
There is growing research to support numerous mental health benefits of breathwork including reductions in symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, and overall experiences of stress (Fincham et al., 2023). There is also emerging evidence to support the mental health and wellness benefits of sound meditation as a Mindfulness practice as it can relieve symptoms of anxiety, depression, and overall feelings of tension (Goldsby et al., 2017, 2022).
I’m also honoured to partner with Boots On The Ground, a registered charity that provides anonymous, confidential, compassionate and caring peer support to all First Responders and Veterans across the province of Ontario.
In partnership with Brock University and Boots On The Ground, we’re excited to collaborate with True Patriot Love, Canada’s foundation for the military community, working to support military members, Veterans and their families at every stage of their journey.

Thanks to their funding, this program is completely free for Ontario Veterans.
Led by facilitators Dr. Tiffany Hunt, C. Psych., and Tessa Alexander, MA, C. Psych., in collaboration with Boots on the Ground and Brock University, our innovative wellness tools aim to strengthen not only your community ties but also your overall well-being – mind, body, and soul. The program includes an in-person portion followed by an online component.
Join us in the upcoming fall of 2023 for this wellness journey designed specifically for Ontario Veterans seeking support and growth.

losing total control of my body almost - I felt tuned in and out of body at the same time!! I was surrendering myself to the darkest memories of my past; learning to forgive and move on. Then I was presented with love + light - almost having my guides tell me to let light and love guide me down the right path. It was almost as if my darkest moments of my past (thoughts, fears, self hate, feelings of unworthiness); was tying me down and holding me in this bondage state. I know it sounds a bit silly ahahahha! I feel if it wasn’t for this class - I honestly feel I wouldn’t be where I am today!

I met Tiff a few years ago, and I went to one of her sound therapy classes with the girls - and since then participated in lots more! My 4 year old daughter listens to the 5 minute tune ups to help her fall asleep at least twice a week. I didn’t really know what to expect going into the session to be honest - I never really meditated or anything before. Even when I would go to yoga classes my instructors would tell me, “Katie, you're going monkey face.”… basically, saying I need to be more present on the mat and not letting my mind go off into a million directions. For those who know me this can be a very, very, very challenging task because my brain is always moving at constant speeds!!! However, when I closed my eyes and let my mind surrender to the sounds of healing - I literally never felt so grounded and awake in my life! I felt like I had a spiritual awakening. I have been to therapy before and in all honestly, this was the best form of therapy I ever had!
During the session, I would have visions where I felt joy and an abundance of sadness where I was bawling…

On the Winter Solstice of 2019, I had my first opportunity to attend a sound therapy workshop led by Tiffany Hunt. While I attended innocently enough without any preconceived notions, I came away with an unexpected lightness and the beginnings of a healing that I did not expect. Her session reintroduced me to my inner child—someone I should demonstrate more compassion towards. The command Tiffany demonstrates with her voice and an assembly of varying unidentifiable instruments is/was impactful and has indelibly etched a place in my memories.

I experienced a lot of trauma while growing up, and I struggled with substance abuse and addiction in the past. When I finally entered into recovery, talk therapy didn't prove to be sufficient. However, upon discovering sound healing and breathwork, I felt an overwhelming sense of relief. I can't express anything but positive sentiments about it. Tiff guides you on a journey through sound and vibrations, facilitating an experience that addresses aspects I never realized needed attention. These suppressed issues arise, and I find myself in a secure space where I can confront myself as I am. I am able to navigate through those emotions and feelings, ultimately finding solace. This practice has truly transformed my life. I have been in recovery for three years now, and I haven't experienced such a profound sense of release and tranquility since I began working with Tiffany.
